ProjectVelmora Lipstick

Websites for cosmetics and skincare brands

The product up close, the shades side by side and one button: buy it or find where it’s sold.

What a cosmetics site needs

People choose cosmetics with their eyes, on a phone, usually after an ad. Here’s what the page has to show in the first minute.

ProjectVelmora Lipstick
  • The product up close

A lipstick, a bottle or a jar, seen as if it were in your hand: colour, texture, packaging. One thing per screen, not a wall of thirty cards.

  • Shades and the range, side by side

Every shade or scent stands together, each with its name. People compare them on the page, not at a shelf in a store.

  • Ingredients in plain words

What’s inside and what it’s for, in a few words, next to the product. The full ingredient list is one tap away.

  • One button

Buy, find a store or leave an email before the launch. The page leads to one action, and it has one button.

  • Phones and ads

People arrive from Reels and ads, almost always on a phone. We build the phone version separately: the product fills the screen and the captions stay inside it.

Project: a 3D website for Velmora Lipstick

A one-page site for a lipstick house: the fifth shade, cherry, goes from pigment to the box. The scene is put together from frames and clips made for the page, and the scroll turns them.

Open the 3D site

ProjectThe site scrolls: the scene moves with the scroll.

  1. The phrase on a flood of crimson: “Find your red.”
  2. The finale: five lipsticks in the box, five strokes on paper and one button

More sites like this

More of the studio’s projects for businesses like this: one-page sites with a scene that moves as you scroll. Each has its own page, with a button that opens the site itself.

  • Aurevane Perfume

A perfume house. A scent goes from a jasmine field at dawn to a box in gold ribbon, and the white of the blossom becomes the page.

  • Duskbloom Eyeshadow

An eyeshadow palette, twelve shades of dusk. Lilac and rose flood the screen in turn, and large words count from “One” to “Twelve”.

  • Dunelight Sunscreen

An SPF 50 sunscreen. A round window in the orange — the sun — grows until it is the whole screen, and a day on the beach goes by.

  • Latherby Handmade Soap

Handmade soap. One loaf from the oil to the lather, and one sentence that the page says piece by piece as it scrolls.

  • Hushwater Skincare

One serum, from a forest stream to the back of a hand.

Priced per project

A site with a scene is priced for the project: how many things are in the frame, how many acts the scroll runs through, whether it needs a store. Tell us about the product and we’ll name the price and the timeline.
