Velmora Lipstick

A one-page website for a lipstick house with five reds. The story is the fifth, cherry: the pigment, the pour into the mould, the bullet twisted up, a stroke on paper, the box. Every step was made for the page as a clip, and the scroll turns it frame by frame.

An atelier and the fifth red

Four acts: the pigment, the pour, the finish and the five shades on paper — with one button at the end.

Open the 3D site

ProjectThe site scrolls: the scene moves with the scroll.

  1. The page opens: the atelier and five bowls of pigment on marble
  2. The lipstick in a capsule-shaped window on crimson, with its caption
  3. The phrase on a flood of crimson: “Find your red.”
  4. The finale: five lipsticks in the box, five strokes on paper and one button

What we made

  • The way of one lipstick in seven short clips, cut into frames and turned by the scroll
  • Windows cut to what they show: a round one for the mould, a tall capsule — the shape of a lipstick — for the bullet
  • Floods in the house’s crimson and blush: a bowl of cherry pigment turns the whole screen red
  • The house’s line in two halves: “Five reds,” on blush and “poured by hand.”, which turns pale as the crimson rises through it
  • Five strokes on paper, each with its name: coral, brick, rosewood, plum, cherry
  • A typeface pair of its own, a footer made as the sheet the shades were tried on, a phone version
