Umberly Chocolate
A one-page website for a maker of dark chocolate. It follows one bar: beans tipped onto marble, chocolate worked with a palette knife and poured into the mould, the bar folded into gold foil. The pictures are stills and clips made for the page; the scroll turns the clips frame by frame.

What we made
- The way of one bar in seven short clips, cut into frames and turned by the scroll
- The maker’s line “Cacao, sugar, time.” put together down the page: each flood adds a word
- Gold and brown floods that grow out of the picture: the copper scoop, a cacao bean, the lamp
- The picture as a tall column beside a word, then as a window in the dark — each opens to the whole screen
- Captions tied to their things by a hairline that ends in a small square, like a square of the bar
- A header whose steps are five squares of a bar, a footer made as the unfolded foil and paper band, a phone version
