Stillmoss Spa
A one-page website for a spa by a hot spring, told as one hour there: warm stones, a bowl of water, a candle, a cup of tea. The scene is put together from stills and short clips made for the page: the scroll turns them frame by frame, and the words and the colour floods run over them.
An hour by the spring
Four acts: the spring at dawn, a tower of warm stones, the room with a bowl, a candle and oil, and tea by the window with one button.
Open the 3D site
ProjectThe site scrolls: the scene moves with the scroll.
The page opens: the spring at dawn and the bathhouse with a lit doorway “Stone.” on linen: in a tall window a hand sets a stone on the tower A flood of moss green and one word: “Quiet.” The finale: the last line, one button and tea in a tall window
What we made
- One hour as a story in four acts, each under a single word: stone, water, quiet, steam
- Six short clips made for the page and cut into frames: the scroll turns them forwards and back
- A page that travels: short pinned scenes, and between them blocks that scroll like any page
- A picture that is a tall window on linen, opens to the whole screen — and in the finale closes to a window again
- Floods in the spa’s three colours, each growing out of the picture: a lit doorway, a candle flame
- A typeface pair of its own, a footer made as a stone on moss with the name carved in it, a phone version
