One-page 3D websiteProject

Mossling Matcha Bar

A one-page website for a matcha bar with three powders. Not cans in a row but a set of objects on a stone counter: a bowl, a bamboo whisk, a scoop and three tins. As the page scrolls, a tin lifts and tips over the bowl, the powder falls, the whisk comes down and the foam rises.

A tea room and a bowl

One scene in four acts: three powders poured in turn, the bowl up close, a phrase laid out in matcha and the finale with one button.

Open the 3D site

ProjectThe site scrolls: the scene moves with the scroll.

  1. A tin tips over the bowl, and the wall takes its green
  2. The bowl up close: the whisk works, the foam rises
  3. The phrase laid out in powder, seen from above
  4. The finale: the set back on the counter and one button

What we made

  • A set of objects in 3D: a bowl, a bamboo whisk with every tine, a scoop and three tins
  • A tea room in place of a flat background: a stone counter, a painted wall, light through leaves
  • Each tin lifts, turns and tips: the powder falls into the bowl, and the wall takes the green of that powder
  • The camera circles the bowl while the whisk works and the foam rises
  • The phrase “Whisk.” laid out in powder: the whisk’s handle stands for its “i”, the bowl for its full stop
  • A typeface pair of its own, a footer made as the bar’s card, a phone version
