One-page 3D websiteProject

Kettlewren Tea House

A one-page website for a tea house with six loose-leaf teas, told as one day of a leaf: plucked in the morning, kept in a tin, opened in hot water, in the cup by evening. The pictures are frames of clips made for the page, and the scroll turns them one at a time.

A tea house and six teas

A story in four acts: the leaf, the tin, the pot and the six bowls. Between them, three large figures of the brew and the phrase of the house.

Open the 3D site

ProjectThe site scrolls: the scene moves with the scroll.

  1. The page opens: tea terraces in the morning mist
  2. The shelf of six tins, a name riding up to each
  3. A bowl is named, and the screen takes its tone
  4. The finale: two hands take the cup, and one button

What we made

  • One day of a leaf in seven scenes, from the terraces in the mist to the evening cup
  • Seven clips made for the page and cut into frames: the scroll turns them one at a time
  • A round window on the green page — the window of the tea house — that opens onto the shelf of six tins
  • Six teas named at six bowls, each with its water and its time; the screen takes the tone of each
  • Paper tags tied to their things by a line: the tea house, the kettle, the leaf, the tin
  • A typeface pair of its own, a footer made as the brewing card from the tin, a phone version
