Griddlemere Smash Burgers
A one-page website for a smash burger joint, told as the making of one burger: from the night street to the tray on the counter. The scroll turns clips made for the page frame by frame, with the words and the colour floods as live layers on top.

A story in four acts: the street, the smash, the griddle and the build. Between the acts a phrase runs across the page both ways.

What we made
- One burger in eight scenes, from the night street to the tray on the counter
- Clips made for the page, cut into frames and turned by the scroll: forwards on the way down, backwards on the way up
- A hatch in the amber page: a wide low window that opens upwards as the press comes down
- Floods that carry the story on: the amber of the window, the red of the smash, the black after the bun
- Callouts tied to their things: beef, cheddar, toasted bun, house sauce, pickles, onion
- A slab typeface of its own, a footer made as the printed wrap on a steel tray, a phone version
